Research by graduate student J. J. Mihaly in the lab of Thomas Gray, in collaboration with the Air Force Research Laboratory, the United States Air Force Academy, and Purdue University, has generated new phosphorescent organogold molecules having microsecond-scale excited-state lifetimes at room temperature.
