We are sad to announce that Dr. Michael Jirousek passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 66.

Dr. Jirousek was a dedicated educator and a strong supporter of our department, whose generosity and belief in our mission helped us grow in meaningful ways. His commitment to our students and to the advancement of Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University will be remembered with deep gratitude.
