The Chemistry Department is pleased to highlight Fish Fish who presented a poster at the Spring 2026 American Chemical Society (ACS) Meeting in Atlanta, GA. Fish conducted this work in collaboration with Chemistry Department Professor, Rekha Srinivasan, whose mentorship helped guide the project from concept to conference presentation.
Fish’s poster, titled “Dyeing for Chemistry: An Exercise in Creating Ancient Colors from Natural Sources,” explored the chemistry behind historically inspired pigments, blending chemical principles with insights from the humanities. Presenting at a national ACS meeting provided an excellent opportunity to share interdisciplinary research with a broad scientific audience and engage with chemists from across the country.
We congratulate Fish Fish and Professor Srinivasan on this accomplishment and are proud to see our department’s commitment to undergraduate research and mentorship showcased on the national stage!
