Research by graduate student J. J. Mihaly in the lab of Thomas G. Gray, in collaboration with the Air Force Research Laboratory and Purdue University, has produced organogold complexes that emit white light through a combination of singlet-state fluorescence and triplet-state phosphorescence.  Read about it in Dalton Transactions.
