On August 22, the Department of Chemistry held its first annual CWRU Chemistry Research Symposium. This half-day, student-led event celebrated our Ph.D. students’ ongoing research and allowed them the opportunity to present to and take questions from their peers. The symposium was hosted by Drs. Metin Karayilan and Shane Parker, with assistance from Dr. Matthew Bertin.

Out of our seven student presenters, the department was able to bestow monetary prizes to the Second and First Place winners. Please join us in congratulating our Second Place and First Place winners, Vivek Saraswat and Ericka Miller!
